Margaret Mitchell House & Museum

One has a difficult time separating Atlanta from it's well-known offspring - 'Gone With the Wind' - the pulitzer prize and academy award winning story by Margaret Mitchell.  The apartment where she and her husband lived from 1925 to 1932 while she wrote the novel has been preserved along with extensive movie memorabilia in the Gone With The Wind Museum.   A large body of her correspondences have been saved which tell about how their lives were affected as the popularity of her work changed their lives.

Margaret Mitchell House & Museum is located at 10th and Peachtree Streets in Midtown. Free parking available behind the house on Crescent Avenue.
